Role Overview
We are currently looking for a Stock Manager for our Boutique located in Piazza di Spagna, Rome.
As a Stock Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and well-organized stockroom environment to maximize store productivity, closely monitoring stock levels, and supporting the activities of the Sales Team. You will play a key role in guaranteeing accurate stock control and seamless back-of-house operations in one of our flagship locations.
Your Contribution to the Role
- Act as the main point of contact for managing and supervising all inbound and outbound merchandise, ensuring optimal organization of the stockroom and all back-of-house areas.
- Lead by example, fostering a culture that supports excellence in client service, even from a back-of-house perspective.
- Represent the brand as an ambassador, promoting its values and standards within a high-profile and international retail environment.
- Manage stockroom organization to enhance overall store efficiency and productivity, in line with company directives and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with store management to support the Sales Team, ensuring fast and efficient replenishment to the sales floor and minimizing client waiting times.
- Provide training and onboarding support to new stock team members on systems, procedures, and stockroom guidelines.
- Oversee and manage the Stock Team, organizing regular coaching sessions, monitoring performance, and delivering timely and constructive feedback in line with corporate review processes.
- Participate in daily store briefings, sharing key updates, stock insights, and contributing to team motivation and alignment.
- Ensure that replenishment activities are carried out systematically, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Supervise the flow of goods between stockroom and sales floor, ensuring proper handling, storage, and presentation of merchandise.
- Plan and execute inventory operations, supporting loss prevention strategies and monitoring discrepancies or unknown markdowns.
- Monitor product rotation and communicate proactively, proposing corrective actions when needed.
- Oversee all deliveries, shipments, and transfers (retail and non-retail), ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures.
- Maintain high standards of loss prevention by ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Act as the key contact for Corporate regarding discrepancies, stock issues, or missing documentation.
- Be proficient in cash handling procedures and provide support to the cashier team when necessary.
What You Bring to the Team
- Fluency in Italian and English; additional languages are considered a strong plus given the international clientele.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in stockroom management within luxury retail, preferably in flagship or high-volume boutiques.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative mindset and strong team spirit.
- Solid understanding of stock control procedures, inventory management, and loss prevention.
- Familiarity with retail systems and stock management tools.
