Retail Analyst

Dolce & Gabbana, a leader in the world of luxury fashion, has an exceptional career opportunity available for a Retail Analyst. The role will support the Finance, Merchandising and Retail Management teams by preparing sales budgets, performance reports and other business analyses

Main Responsibilities:

• Partner with Retail Management to develop monthly sales forecasts as well as setting daily sales goals.  Distribute the data to Store Managers
• Using Retail Accounting system (START or similar systems), Business Objects (BO) and Excel, prepare and distribute the Daily Sales Flash Report and weekly Top Line selling reports for the DG Men’s and Women’s and Children’s businesses
• Enter sales budgets by store, line and season into Planning and Control System (Tagetik or similar systems), including the following data and write script files to import data into the Milan system:
  • Purchases by season (quantity and value)
  • Average unit price by line and season
  • Projected sell through by line and season
  • Projected full price and markdown sales, including markdown assumptions
• Develop the cost of goods sold by store, product, season and article for quarterly: upload into Planning and Control System (Tagetik or similar systems)
• Prepare and distribute monthly gross margin reports
• Prepare and distribute full price / markdown sales reports daily during markdown periods
• Prepare and distribute quarterly cost reports versus budget to US functional managers
• Assist with expense budget preparation, as needed
• Prepare ad hoc reports to support the Finance and Retail management teams

Technical Competencies:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience
• Excellent quantitative skills
• Must be computer literate with a degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications including spreadsheets, Word processing, PowerPoint, database management.
• Intermediate proficiency level using Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLook-ups, graphs, macros etc.)
• Knowledge of Retail math
• Familiarity with accounting principles and knowledge of main elements of Profit and Loss and Cash flow statements
• Experience dealing with a high volume of projects
• Database utilization and functionality skills

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $75,000 annually. The total compensation amount for a candidate is based on factors including educational background, professional experience, and industry knowledge.
