POSITION OVERVIEW:

Dolce & Gabbana is in search of a Men's Wholesale Sr. Manager/Director to manage the Men’s and Children’s Collections. Equal part sales professional and merchant, this position will serve as the primary liaison between all Department and Specialty Store accounts, responsible for sell-in and sell-out strategy and execution. This role will maintain and build relationships with clients, both internal and external, to generate sales and provide support during seasonal markets. This position will report to VP of Wholesale.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute sales campaign to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships with Buyers, Department Stores, Specialty Stores and E-Commerce sites
  • Meet and negotiate with key clients on financial plans and sales targets prior to the start of the season
  • Book and carry out Showroom appointments seasonally, in US & foreign showrooms
  • Present collections and make recommendations based on sales performance, current trends, while ensuring assortment quality
  • Process orders and work with Customer Service department to ensure all units are allocated and invoiced in a timely manner
  • Provide the highest level of customer service and follow through on orders and deliveries for all accounts
  • Schedule regular visits to Department & Specialty Store accounts to perform product knowledge seminars; ensure visual merchandising standards and promote brand awareness and Worldwide strategy in partnership with the VM team
  • Work closely with Regional Brand Managers, DSAs and Department Managers to enforce guidelines and product knowledge and gather market insights
  • Develop and/or ensure VM guidelines are appropriately executed and maintained
  • Collect and collate sales information from key accounts. Efficiently report and analyze results, identifying business opportunities to Vice President of Wholesale
  • Drive the in-season sell-through of product partnering with accounts
  • Engage, develop and performance manage both direct and indirect reports
  • Serve as brand ambassador, demonstrating professionalism at all times
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 6+ years Wholesale (Sales) leadership experience, with proven track record of managing Department and Specialty store accounts
  • Experience building relationships with key Department and Specialty stores, along with an appreciation for the targeted market
  • Familiarity with major US retailers
  • Possess strong analytical skills with proficient use of Excel (Pivot Tables, formulas, charts, etc.), Power point and Microsoft Suite
  • Self-starter with ability to organize and manage workload and work independently

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to work and have authorization to work in the US
  • Must be willing to work extended hours with short notice, especially during market
  • Must be willing to travel as necessary to clients and conduct product seminars

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $140,000 annually. Additionally, we offer the opportunity to take part in our comprehensive benefits program which includes: medical, dental, vision, life & disability insurances, 401(k) plan, FSA plans, and more. The total compensation amount for a candidate is based on factors including educational background, professional experience, and industry knowledge.
