ROLE
Dolce & Gabbana Store Planning Director is responsible for coordinating and managing Shop-in-Shop installations within wholesale accounts. This role may also serve as the company’s liaison for the construction of freestanding, company-owned boutiques.
MISSION
- Management of entire process of Shop-in-Shop development and installation in wholesale accounts throughout the U.S.
- Interact and assist in opening of new Company owned boutiques in the construction phase through coordination with VP’s of Dolce Gabbana.
- Management of renovations in existing boutiques.
- Project management responsibility of Shop-in-Shops and Boutiques could include but is not limited to;
- Coordination and assurance of shop designs to Dolce Gabbana brand identity.
- Planning, Budgeting and interaction with Department store design team for Shop-in-Shops.
- Planning, budgeting and interaction with VP’s of retail division and Dolce Gabbana design teams (Visual, Store development – Italy, design and construction architects, etc.).
- Propose enhancements to design or plans to better serve the business or specific needs of the market.
- Assist in establishing and or execution of plans/drawings as necessary.
- Assist in the value engineering aspect of all proposed bids.
- Successful installation (on time and on budget) of all projects.
- Analysis of final installation, recommending modifications to better serve the brand, the budget, and quality of the projects or any other enhancements.
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in store planning, retail construction project management, or architectural design, preferably within the luxury retail sector
- Proven track record in managing large-scale retail construction projects from concept to completion
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings, construction processes, and building codes
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including visual merchandising, retail operations, and external design/construction partners
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Strong budgeting and cost-control expertise, including value engineering experience
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain brand standards in all deliverables
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for liaising with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software
The salary rate for this role ranges from $210K - $216K plus variable commission.
