Dolce & Gabbana, a leader in the world of luxury fashion, has an exceptional career opportunity available for an Accountant. The Accountant will assist in the day to day operations of the Accounting department related to cash transactions ultimately leading to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual cash flow reporting. The position is based in NYC and has a hybrid work schedule.
RESPONSABILITIES:
- Review chargebacks deducted from credit card settlements and notified Loss and Prevention department
- Prepare monthly journal entries for financial statements which includes weekly and bi-weekly payroll, payroll, and bonus accruals.
- Prepare monthly gross sales and calculate percentage rent
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for all accounts
- Perform general ledger analysis for assigned accounts (i.e Accounts Receivable for Cash and Credit Card Receivables)
- Reconciliation of monthly and quarterly payroll (ADP vs AX)
- Download reports from Concur and book T&E reports on a bi-weekly basis
- Rebill intercompany charges to DG SRL & DG Beauty relating to PR, Celebrities and ECA
- Assist in the preparation of year-end work papers, journal entries, and provide support to auditors during the year-end audit.
- Prepares monthly cash flow reports and submits them to Donna Berenson, Director of Control and Planning
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables & v-look ups)
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles in the United States
- Experience with an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics
- Hands-on experience working with general ledgers
- Experience with a digital payment system such as Piteco or any UPI system
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
The salary for this role is $80,000 - $85,000 annually. The total compensation amount for a candidate is based on factors including educational background, professional experience, and industry knowledge.
