Dolce & Gabbana, a leader in the world of luxury fashion, has an exceptional career opportunity available for a HR Benefits Specialist.

 

The Senior Benefits Specialist will manage the day-to-day operations of Dolce & Gabbana benefits and deliver outstanding employee engagement through administering health benefits, leave of absences, retirement program and policies for the US & Canada. The role will support the design and implementation of wellness and health education initiatives.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • First point of contact and continuing resource for employee inquiries regarding benefits programs
  • Ensures proper management of the health, dental, vision, life, and disability Insurances, as well as 401(k) retirement plan, RRSP, Flexible Spending Accounts and COBRA
  • Manages 401(k) plan administration including SPDs, Non-Discrimination Testing, 5500’s, Loans & Withdrawals, Forfeiture Accounts, fees disclosure, enrollments & quarterly changes etc.)
  • Effectively processes the company’s Leave of Absences, FMLA, STD, LTD, Worker’s Comp, and third-party claims
  • Continuously analyze plans for compliance with various governmental regulations (ACA/1095, ADA, ERISA, HIPPA, COBRA etc.), state and local requirements
  • Conducts annual open enrollment and monthly benefits orientations for new hires. Reviews and processes benefits changes, qualifying life events, deductions, coverages
  • Liaise with benefits vendors and brokers to manage benefits programs and resolve issues, evaluate and recommend changes to benefits programs based on employee needs and market trends
  • Leads wellness programs initiatives, communications and educations 
  • Partners with Finance and Payroll to ensure effective execution of Benefits reconciliations and remittance of insurance premiums to the providers
  • Provides payroll processing support and serves as the primary payroll & HRIS back-up
  • Coordinates new hire onboarding and assist in ad-hoc HR projects as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration, with at least 2 years in a senior role
  • • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local benefits regulations
  • • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits management systems
  • • Advanced Excel skills (i.e.: VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, Formulas, IF/THEN scenarios, etc.)
  • • Excellent verbal & written communication skills and ability to conduct training sessions
  • • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships; excellent interpersonal skills; exceptional customer service skills
  • • Analytical and project management skills with a high attention to detail
  • • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • • Experience with payroll and benefits systems, ADP Workforce Now and SuccessFactors is preferred 
  • •Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

 

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $85,000. Additionally, we offer the opportunity to take part in our comprehensive benefits program which includes: medical, dental, vision, life & disability insurances, 401(k) plan, FSA plans, and more. The total compensation amount for a candidate is based on factors including educational background, professional experience, and industry knowledge.

 

This position is classified as exempt for purposes of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the New York Labor Law, as this employee’s primary duties consist of the performance of office or non-manual field work directly related to management policies and/or general operations.  Moreover, it is expected of this position that the employee will customarily and regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment, utilizing his or her training, experience, and knowledge.
