Role Overview

 

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Deputy Store Director - Back of House to join our boutique located in the heart of Milan’s Montenapoleone district. Reporting directly to the Store Director, this key role focuses on managing all back-of-house operations, ensuring seamless stock management, cash handling, and tailor shop activities to support the boutique’s exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

 

Your Contribution to the Role

 

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the back-of-house team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Provide training and support to ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and standards.
  • Work closely with the Store Director and other department heads to align back-of-house operations with overall boutique objectives Oversee inventory operations, including receiving, storing, and organizing stock efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate stock control through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and inventory audits.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure timely replenishment of the sales floor and alignment with seasonal needs.
  • Supervise and ensure compliance with cash handling procedures, including reconciliation and reporting.
  • Monitor point-of-sale systems and support staff with any technical or transactional issues.
  • Coordinate with in-house tailors to manage alteration requests, ensuring timely and high-quality service for clients.

 

What You Bring to the Team

 

  • Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within luxury retail, with a strong focus on back-of-house operations.
  • Deep understanding of stock and inventory management systems and cash handling procedures
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Fluency in Italian and English is required; additional languages are a plus.
  • Familiarity with luxury fashion industry standards and customer expectations.
